Early Childhood

Families in crisis, such as those who call 211 seeking resources, have children at extremely high risk for developmental-behavioral problems and autism. 211 LA handles around 80,000 calls per year from families that include children under age 5. Of these callers, 85% earn less than $2,000 a month.

To help address these families' needs in ways that support early intervention and healthy child development, 211 LA developed a Child Development Care Coordination System that has proven success in not only early identification and intervention for developmental delays and autism, but also in providing the whole-person and whole-family support to stabilize families and give children the greatest possibility to thrive.
